Uhm.. 9830 vs 55?

My friend says the 200 diffrence isn't worth it. the 30 just has a few eq features that the 55 does. And that 30 would be just as good, having just as good sound quality. The only reason to go for the 55 is the looks. "All MP3 headunits are pretty much the same" Does someone else have any insight on this?

i like the '03 and '04 models way bette than the new shit

the 9830 is good for the money ($220-250 new) but you can't read the display during the day for the most part but if that doesn't bother you then get it

i still prefer the 9835 over the 55.... alpine cheapened themselves when they hooked up with best buy the quality is gay imo

Exactly right. Display issues are why I am returning my 9830. The sound is really good though, so if your car is dark inside, you will probably like it.
