UGGGHH Hifonics stable at .5 ohm?

Well I just ordered my first set of subwoofers (2 12" type Rs) and of course something goes wrong. I accidently ordered dual 2 ohms and I was planning on ordering 4 ohms and wiring it up at 1 ohm. I didnt notice until after I sent paypal. I'm not sure if dimensionaudio is gonna let me change my order but I sent them messages and emails on ebay and i'm waiting for a response. On the other hand, I was planning on running a Bxi2006d to them. If I ended up with the d2s, would the amp be stable at .5 ohm for a daily driver? Or should I just stay safe and wire them up at 2 ohm?

Ok forgive me for being a noob here, but no matter what ohm I rig it up to, my subs will get the same amount of peak power right? It will just be less RMS?

yes some... not as much as some may lead yo to believe but the hifonics amps do not usually make their rated power they usually make just under.. so you prob will not see the full 1300 rms... the type r's can take more than that it should be okay though... realize its 650 instead of 800 each only 150 watt difference...

Umm...actually I would be going from probably 900-950 RMS a piece to 600-650 RMS a piece.

remember the hifonics are overated... the bigger they get the more so they are... just fyi... i sell them i test them quite often..the smaller will be closer to spec then the bigger one..imo prob 800-850 with the larger while the smaller will be closer to spec..

it may or could i should say... prob would do 1900 at a higher distortion % ... id say less to stay at or under 1% myself... not at all bad amps just tend to be overated...iregardless you will notice a small difference not at all a huge one though maybe 1.5db could be possible... just a guess ...
