silva reminds me of some hard core db drag guys i know that go out to shows and win by .1db. a win is a win, why go out and do more than you have to? i think the only person in mw that could MAYBE get him to fight hard is vitor belfort, other than that his only test will come from a fight (at 170 or catch weight ) with gsp or a top tier lhw.

hughes vs gracie i agree was a joke for two reasons: 1. there both old as hell and 2. they pose no real threat in ww, so the fight was kinda just for braging rights to me

Hughes is like 35-36.. Hardly old.. And as far as Silva goes.. You did hear that he is considering moving up to heavyweight as well right>? I would love to see him get to 225 and make the heavyweights chase him around..

totally agree with all of that...especially frankie wont be the champ for long considering he barely won......wonder who will be next for the title shot........oh and they said if silva won....which he did...hes gonna be fighting gsp at ufc 117 which will be interesting

The whole card was pretty much a joke, This is the 3rd time silva has done this,dana's pissed,most the fans are pissed also. The first round was funny i'll admit that, but the rest of the fight was an insult to the ufc, the fans, and the sport in general. I don't agree with the edgar-penn decision but it's not a complete injustice either. If ya look at the fightmetric stats they show penn winning the fight,and in my mind at best edgar could have have the fight 48-47 but whatever judge saw that fight 50-45 needs his ass fired. Gracie vs Hughes was a boring *** boxing match of two one dimensional groung fighters who's standup never was and never will be above D level.

I agree......the sad thing though is the best fights were on the undercard........how bout mr.wonderful (davis) and that choke?lol that was bad *** and munoz coming back to win was pretty cool.....

overall, ok. i do agree with the 50-45 bullshit but regardless congrats to frank edgar. i knew it was gonna be hard to beat any of the current ufc champs and he proved his worthiness last night.

you know, im really iffy on the whole silva deal. i think that shit gets into those fools heads, so whatever it takes to win is what hes gonna do. it might have been bullshit and dumb and whatever when it comes to a ton of people but he did get the win.

i have no idea how one judge went 50-45 for the penn edgar fight. i am from hilo, hi so i was going for penn, i had the fight 48-46 in favor of penn. first 3 rounds to penn (good ring control), 2 last rounds to edgar (takedowns and ring control). but definitely wanted penn to win. he shouldn't have left it up to the judges. seemed to me as if the fight was juiced. congrats to edgar.

nothing to say about the silva fight. it was a joke.

definitely down for silva vs. gsp. would be nice if it was a non-title catch weight match.

edgar worked his *** around the ring the whole fight. BJ penn looked confused and swollen up ..... which means he got pwned.

i can agree to this. penn has this thing with "be first" (which i might add is very crucial) and i think not bein able to catch edgar just frustrated the shit out of him, but hell be back.

maynards suppose to be the next one in line as far as i understand, it was actually a toss up between edgar and maynard to fight penn but dana said maynards fight with diaz didnt impress him enough to get a shot yet so we shall see. kenflo is an excellent fighter but hes had his chance twice now, so i say he wins a few more first.
