Good Afternoon audio fanatics:

Here's the skinny

I will be building my first box from start to finish in a few weeks with the following equipment:

4 Hifonics hi-fi subs

HFi12D4 | HIFONICS HFI 12D4 12-Inch 1200W Subwoofers (Pair) : $49.99 : VMInnovations.com

they are rated for about 300 watts rms or so

Hifonics brutuis brz 1200.1 is the amp i will use with the subs

Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D 1200W Mono D Amplifier : BRZ12001D : $151.95 : VMInnovations.com

as you can see this is a insanely cheap setup. Im wanting to do a 4th order with a blowthrough going into the car through the spot in the arm rest

proabably going to tune around 44-50 hz. from what i read these subs dont like low tuning.

6 cu box (subs firing up)

car is an 06 altima SE-R.

let the critics chime in

From what I have read those subs are great for the price. Actually makes me want to do a cone area build with 6 or 8 of these //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Post a build log and let us know how you like them!

You can run two subs in parrell that gives you (4//4) =2 then 2//2 = 1ohm for two subs, then you have to add series that to get 2 ohms final The other way gives you.5ohms which I dont think would do that amp good.

That might work or you can so a sealed setup to save space, or a standard ported box.

Only problem I see is port area. With a BP box that's your only source of output. You may end up with port noise and limited output due to size of port. Most arm rest openings are only 4 x 12 subtract wood and you get 2.5 x 10.5. With such limited port area you might be better to use just a pair of 12's or just sealed.

appreciate the input i never thought of that. on the other side of that. i've never had a sealed box before so i dont know how it would work on a TL.

what would you consider, when using these 4 subwoofers and a ported box
