the kicker will be more efficent. tests done on this forum have shown the zx being somewhere in the nieghborhood of 90% efficency at around 1 ohm.... even if you're talking about the newest usamps ax line ,the efficency will be close, but the kicker hands down.

I thought the efficiency was at 4 ohms not 1 ohm. And I've heard good things about both amps, I would suggest buying whichever is cheaper. One thing to think about though is resale, Old School amps seem to keep their value better, although kz/kx2500 amps seem to sell quick in the classifieds (around 500).

thanks bassaddict...um im positive for a fact that this is an older model usamp...its been in the store for 3 maybe more years..on the front of the amp its just black and then it has the picture of the palm tree and it says usamps

the amp model looks just like the 2dmd usamp...i can get the amps at around the same price...but im sure the kicker is gonna put more power out...thats what i want...the one that is gonna feed the 2 15 l7s more power...oh and i have an optima yellow top under the hood but thats it...please tell me how i need to upgrade electrical wise...the cheapest way preferably

KICKER IS JUNK I sell mint 2500.1s for like $385shipped, there junk, blow easy, not effecient at all, the old school Us Amps 2000 on a bad day would shatter/shit on a kicker kx/zx2500.1 on a good day, anyday, once again KICKER IS JUNK, and even if the kicker is lil stronger, it wont last as long, and if your talking about a new AX2000 Us Amps, they do over 3kw, and will out last, and are alot more effecient than the kicker

you're an idiot. I guess They do ****, thats why a lot of competitors i see use them over other 2500 watt amps. Learn to install, don't blame the equipment. I haven't even seen any blown zx2500.1 on this board or any other board. to the OP, so not buy that us 2000 unless you have a really good electrical. To me its not worth all the electrical upgrades and the kicker puts out more

if ran at recommended imp w/a strong electrical system(200+ alt. several runs 0 gauge wire, & ext. batt.) the kicker amp will run flawless & deliver more than rated power. many ppl try to run them with 4 gauge wire & no electrical upgrades & yes they have problems with them but, that is not an amp you can run w/ low voltage.

Why don't you get the actaul model of the amp before comparing? It might make things a lot easier.

Edit: I'd take the US over the Kicker any day of the week even if it didn't put out as much power.

Sounds to me like you did something wrong with your amp. The ZX2500 is very effecient and very tough.
