I'm talking about the actual "snailshell" not the transmission line design or whatever, trust me, his version is down to perfection with specific models of subwoofers. I stuck a 12" XXX in my snailshell and it sounded like ***, his boxes are made to order for specific drivers. You really need to hear one, your ears are missing out, haha.(i'm sure you've heard some sick installs)

I say tune to atleast 32... thats what I have mine tuned at.. The R's love the lower tuning.. Thats their stonger point

Ok cool, any advice on the type X if he decides to change. I told him the type R may not deliver the loudness he wants, then again, i've never heard a type r with 800 watts.

Type R will more than likely get louder than an X... X is more of an SQ sub...
