two vs one?

Oh really. Well, because the 15's would look actually rather like shit in the trunk, I guess im looking at 12s. Thanks alot dude
it's all in the install man. how it looks/performs is up to the installer. my 15 in my trunk looks rather nice IMO. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

So, I guess now im wondering, if there is too big of a difference between the square kicker subs, and round ones. I think the square are more loudness, and round is better quality. Or something to that effect. Or are they the same, and its just all about installing?

SPL is sound qaulity and loudness?

or is that just loudness?

But because this will be in the back of my car in the trunk, should I even bother to get qaulity ones, because I dont think illl be able to tell, will I? So should I go for loudness on this, or what? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

******* man! i bet that is heard for blocks, how much power you got goin to it?

Welll, alot. I mean I dont care about the trunk (because I still have my backseat, Lol). Thats not a problem. Although, im not looking for as loud as I can get. Because I know i could get some sick stuff. But the thing is that I want it within.
Think of it like this, your waiting at a stop light, and everyone around on the sidewalks can hear your bass. Thats fine. Actually, almost perfect sounding. But when your sitting at the same light, and you can be heard a block away, thats just too much.

And I want quality. I want hard, clean hits, with nice lows. I know 15 get insane lows, but then again, (about what im looking for) wouldnt a dual 12 do the same as a single 15. Or would it just sound louder but no more low?

I want lower then 500, thats like max. I was thinking of an amp for about 110-150. And the sub being 175-225.

Rap, some rock (but I dont want it to sound like I own some ghetto navigator with an insane system that rich people have.

1991 Mercedes Benz 190E.

**** near all. Although, I dont want to open it and just be like wow, sub. Like, maybe stick a blanket and sweat shirt in the back, just because in the winter it gets really cold, and I dont want to cludder the backseat thought the whole winter.

Lol... blanket is seriously for the cold //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Too true, HAHAHA
Even if the people can hear your bass from like the sidewalk and your at the stoplight the bass is still traveling so people are still goin to hear it down the road maybe a block away or more and prolly be heard faintly just depends how loud the traffic is and how loud your bass is and what frequency's your amp is amplifying, lower the frequency farther the travel. lol i can be heard with only 150 watts goin to my rockford Punch1 and my car is a 2001 ford taurus SE, great loud bass inside and deep and outside the car just about the same. 150 watts is good enough for me, shit, i've hit 120 decibals with only 150 watts when i got it metered at a car stereo shop, i don't want over kill in bass or would 500 watts be good? I usually turn it down at stoplights cuz i hate gettin glares and am not like other people in my town who have it blastin. i plan on upgradin and gettin a bigger amp that puts out idk 500 and maybe get a alpine Type R sub since i heard they the sheit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I've always stuck with a single sub setup.

Just trying to give an idea about how loud is what I like. Lol

about 1k or so, bridged to my Arc 1500-xxk @ 2 ohms.

man as nice as yours is, I dont need that much. I was thinking no less then 450rms continious, but no more then 800rms. so thing like 600rms continious would be great. Although im sure expensive. then i guess im going for something lower at like 450. But I have found some nice subs for 600, such as

-round-

12" 1500W Dual 2-Ohm Subwoofer

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=16854

12" 1500W Dual 4-Ohm Subwoofer

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=16855

-square-

12" 1200W Dual 2-Ohm Square Subwoofer

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14809

12" 1200W Dual 4-ohm Square Subwoofer

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14810

All kicker. but i mean with those there are 10s that can handle more then 12s and whatever. but you said dont look at size, just the enclosure, but whatever. Lol. I still think the 10s look too small for me. so i think im looking at those. And i know lower ohms are better, but the high 4 is more common for subs, what to go with?

which of those subs are SQL?

And these are some JL I like

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14887

only problem with that, is for the same price, it doesnt handle as much power.

so then those kickers i listed, or something like this

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14815

i realy like that 15 kicker. cheap, and effecive i assume. and still looking at the ecplipes, but im sure if i had to look, id lok athe CVRs

But I dont like the looks of that kicker. Lol **** im too fvckin picky huh
