I was pulled over a couple months ago for speeding (76 in a 55.. was under the impression it was still a 65mph zone). Turns out, my license was suspended due to an unpaid ticket from a year ago, but I had not been notified of this. On top of that, the dealership I bought my car from never submitted the registration paperwork to the state, resulting in my car being impounded. On top of the cost of getting it out and towed back to my house (some 70 miles away), I had nearly $1000 in fines from three tickets. Hopefully that will all be thrown out in court in a couple weeks...

Only times I've been pulled over for speeding were going 30 in a 20 zone. Not even a school or residential area. Of course after the second time they change the limit up to 30. Assholes.
