Two Simple Problems

Just started getting back to work on my first system and I've got two questions/problems with my front stage stuff.

I hooked up my CL-61s to an MTX Thunder 2150X amp.. 80Wx2 @ 4ohms

Set the gains low and made sure all speakers were working, which they were. Turned the gains up and played around with a few settings and then I realized my right-side woofer had gone out. I switched it to the left and made sure it wasn't blown which it wasn't - so I'm assuming it's a wiring problem but the weird thing is that it was working for a while.

Then there's my tweeters - both of them work but my left side tweeter sounds bad. Its very fuzzy while the other one is perfectly crisp. What could that be?

Possibly either a loose speaker wire connection at the passive crossover, or something loose inside the passive crossover itself...the latter would fall under the warranty if the products are covered by a warranty.

I would try double checking the speaker wire connections on the passive crossover on the right side. If all checks out there, I would start messing around with the passive xover. Try switching it to the other side and see if the problem persists.

Blown. Or could be a problem with the wiring (loose wiring) or a problem with the passive crossover.

Again, double check all of the speaker wire connections both at the speaker and at the passive xover. Double check all of the settings on the passive. Again try swapping the xovers and see if the noise stays in that tweeter or switches to the other side

okay im gonna check that tomorrow.. gonna switch the x-overs and see what happens

also - if the tweeter is blown would anything audible be coming out? because the audio is just low and distorted.. im hopin I wont have to buy new tweeters
