two mofo 15''???

i am running two kicker L7s off a PA 3000db amp in a sealed box...im running them at 2 ohm so thats about 1800 watts rms i think to the two L7s....if i sold them and bought two 15'' mofos which are 1500 watts rms each i believe and build a ported box...would that make a big difference? the L7s make some noise but i feel like i have to turn is up to much all the time to get the bass i want....what do you guys think? will the mofos be alot louder? (never heard them before)

yea i was thinking about that...but i had them in a prefab ported box before and when i sealed them they actually sounded better...if i make a proper ported box will it make a big diff?

it SHOULD be a BIG difference... i don't think you can run two mofo's at 1 ohm, ud have to run them at 2 ohms which would only give each about 850 and that isn't enough

a properly ported box will make a huge difference. you'll loose the sq of a sealed box though

are the L7's DVC4?

just hook them up to 1ohm, get the 2kw to the pair, and port the box. i think you will be quite impressed.

car audio is 80% install dependant.

The mofos are like 20% sq and 80% spl. so if ur looking for more of a SQL then id say stick with the kickers. if ur going for SPL then go with the MOFOS

cool..ive never made a ported box before...im unsure about how big to make the box, port, and especially the depth of the port and how it goes back and then cuts across the box (making a L shape) any advice?
