Mir Ali: Are you planning on redesigning the eu700s...the terminals poke out way to much which makes it difficult to mount in the cutout.
You are now speaking with eD Tech 4 of Elemental Designs Tech.
eD Tech 4: Simply cut the correctly sized mounting hole and there isn't an issue. The Eu-700 has not been sold for about 8 months now, as the 7Kv.2 it has larger terminals at a more downward angle. However, as I have 32 Eu-700's in my hatch, I know they fit as long as the hole is cut out to 5.8"
Mir Ali: so the cutout is 5.8"? cause you see how it pokes out a lot almost near the outer ring of the mounting ring

eD Tech 4: just a moment, I know we did a tutorial on how to put Eu-700's into mounting holes a few years ago.

eD Tech 4: Basically, put in one side, then the other. It doesn't go straight in the hole.
Mir Ali: on the 7kv2 this is no longer an issue?
eD Tech 4: No, even on them if you make the hole too small, you can not mount the speaker. It's simply a matter of cutting the proper sized hole. Unfortunately, with a subwoofer that small, it's rather difficult to place terminals in a place that the sub will go straight into the hole.
