Two Eelemental Designs 6.5's ported!

Gentlemen, it's been quite a while since I've been on here because of finals and internship crap:*******: Anywho, I finally got around to porting my EU700's! With the help of ChevyAudio, Jntar, and Doug (sorry Doug I dont know your SN) I was able to design and build a VERY pleasing box for these little subs.

Previously I had them in their own individual enclosures sealed up and they were nice but could use a ported enclosure for a little more output:naughty:

My car is an IS300 with a trunk like a black hole in relation to sound. Practically nothing escapes it! So I had the old subs attached to the rear deck with the cones poking out the stock 6x9 openings. I wanted to do a similar thing when porting them and this is the plan we came up with.

Justin helped me put the finishing touches on the box this past week and I got it attached a day ago......I LOVE IT!

The difference is unbelievable! It's hard to believe these are the same subs, amp, and the only difference is the amp!

nice, i really wanna play with a few of these. what did you tune to, and do they seem to play pretty low?

i think I'm tuned somewhere around 36?

We wanted to make the port tubes longer but there was just no way...

All i really needed was some longer piping for the Precision Ports but no one makes an extension for the 2" variety (that i know of). I like what I hear so far though, it hits plenty low for me:yumyum:

the ports are held together with some PVC glue and are siliconed into the top. The actual box itself is held together with wood glue and nails....courtesy of Jntars awesome nail gun (I need to invest in one)

I love his box. Fiberglassing wasn't much of an option for me because I don't know much about it yet. His idea is similar to my last one which had the speakers poking through the stock locations. This time I just have the ports going through.

I have to say though; I think my setup would kick his in the face:suave: I'm running 150RMS TO EACH and they are ported:crazy:
