Would I be OK with running two brz1700 amps? My electrical is stock alternator that does 130 amps big 3 done in 0 gauge stock battery with sk bt-60. My voltage is 12.8. I would run them at 1ohm. The one I have now puts out 967 true watts rms I would turn both down to do 600tru rms. Would I be good?

Are you saying your voltage drops to 12.8 now with one 1700? I wouldnt add another until you have your electrical upgraded if thats the case..

why would you "turn both down to tru600rms" instead of just using one...

The one now only pulls in 960 tru rms i want to be at 1200 tru rms and it is way cheaper to get another one then to send my alternator in to have it upgraded as a core....... the price to do that would be 380 for 250a and 140a at idle is that a good price?

$380 is a good price. As long as it is not a rewind. A complete new unit would run ya $450 ish. Which is the better option. I wouldn't bother straining the stock electrical. Maybe a second stock alt, and a bracket and belt would come in cheaper than $380 and give ya what ya need.

I'm sorry, but you've got to have something wrong, or not set right. I'm not a Hifonics nuthug, and I don't know if they do or don't do rated (especially @ 1 ohm) but I know they do more than 967w. That's barely half of what it's rated at.
