Two batts

What do you mean wire it correctly??? I was planning just on connectin it to the pos terminal on the other battery and grounding it somewhere good (no isolator becuase i never have my car off and system on...)....thx for the help btw.....

2 last questions.....Does it matter if i use a diff. second battery (i'm gonna keep my stock one and add a yellow top), and do i need 2 fuses on the power wire, (one close to each battery)???

I would definitely fuse your lines close to the batteries...

As far as different batteries, I haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure it ok. I've seen a few set-ups that use different ones...

Your system draws its power from the battery/batteries, not the alt. The reason for doing the big 3 is to help the alt charge the battery.

This is SO wrong.... The battery is NOTHING MORE than another load on the alternator once the vehicle is running. Power will only be comsumed from the battery once the current supply from the alternator is exceeded..
