Two Amp Install

I read previously about installing two amps using two Y-spliters ( 1 female - 2 male ). My question is that on your primary RCA Cables you will add the two spliters. Does the one set of Y go into the first amp, then the other split into the second amp? I myself have installed several amps but using dual outputs from the HU. My knew HU only has one set and I dont have the money to get any kind of crossovers or anything else. Please help.

i think when using Y adapters youd need two RCA cables and you would plug two Y adapters (1 male - 2 females) into the back of the HU then each amp would get one RCA cable

i think this would be the right way ive never used them personally though

What you want to do is split the signal back at the amplifier that way the split signal has a very short distance to travel instead of the length of the car.....your rca cables coming back are left and right......therefore take the left channel and split it with your 1female to 2male adapter and run it to the left channel inputs of both amps and then do the same with the right channel.........NOTE: when you use splitters you are cutting your line voltage in half and your signal isn't as strong....thats why I'd split them back by your amps and not at the head Unit.
