Two 15's; Tumult

The pic says it all!

That is hilarious, I see you remembered my visualization of this guy.

My point is so well proven with facts, that DBF just said his usual incoherent, non-funny comments. Then there is the guy who seems to dream about the number 14, more than he thinks about girls.
That was a good comment about eastern Canada mang. When you don't have facts, just diss the other coast of your own Country, even though you know the main city of Canada is in the East.

Fact is, that Cerwin Vega box, was a thousand dollar waste of money, with the same vent I'm using, yet your so proud of Cerwin Vega and don't even own it. Your so jealous of my Tumult setup, that you can't even see the hipocracy your creating for yourself. You have yet to show any pictures of anything that is better than what I have, yet you talk garbage like it's your home.

Kids asking everyday about this sub vs that sub and you would rather put down a thread that shows pictures. Foolish children, It would be nice if you guys and your Canadian brain washed, sellouts could atleast come up with funny comments. Basically this forum is just an over-crowded mess-hall of children, with dreams of owning even a pyramid 6x9, but can't.

So they gather together like dumber lemmings and say 7 year-old things. Have fun laughing at your own jokes.
I'm sorry...i couldn't hear all your b!tcing over that peak at 50 hertz

Whoop-dee-doo.

Don't even get me started.

below 30....
Please... post your HT woofer project at http://www.hometheatertalk.com

Not many if any at all will appreciate your knowledge and work in car audio forums.. ...

what about bracing? That looks like a pretty big box and I don't see any evidence of bracing, I bet that thing has some serious drone to it
also, how do you seal the outlets, keep air from escaping, you do know that is very important

those poor subwoofers, they don't deserve to be put in a box like that, send them to me and I'll put them in a nice home, and I'll send you back some pyramid superblues or something
I asked you 2 serious questions below30, and you come back with this post:

Proved my point, you people aren't true DIY'ers, you guys follow fashion. You people just follow what the cool guy does and says. You guys can't think for yourselves. If the highest post person in here said that 6" woofers are the next killer subs, you'd all ride his wave like a jet ski.
That is an illogical statement about the CV not being a sub. Do you know what a sub driver is. Do you realize that, the box is tuned to 28Hz, according to CV. How can a woofer playing down to 28Hz, not be a sub. That fact is, because my name isn't Cerwin Vega, my vents aren't cool.

So as long as a commercial company does it, it's ok, but if not, then you people fly out of the works. That thousand dollar (at the time) CV box setup, had nothing more than the same tubes I use, yet I don't see you guys dissing the Vega. I'm actually shocked, I was expecting you guys to say me and Cerwin are in the same boat of the lack of highway-tunnel vents.

Now I know the truth, thats why I got the idea and remembered to post those pictures. I was expecting a lash-out against it. So you people are just commercial riders. Just like the one man, who comes up with a graph of my box and doesn't even know the dimensions. Yet all of you believe his stats. Plain silly followers and claim to be experts. Most of you are nothing more than followers, who don't have any audio components, and just say yes to the highest post count players.

Thats why most of you don't post pics of your set-ups, you don't have none. No facts, no proof, no pictures. You people is just some sad -internet kids, in a poorly moderated forum, talking -yang- about what you don't have. People who live in the United States, that never heard the term -mang-. That is extra sad.

Who's next up to bat.
Were you talking to me? Because it was the post right after mine.

You want a pic, here is a real box, study it and take notes rookie. I am not claiming to know everything, just about 400 times more than you. Yes, you may find it hard to belive but there are people who know a whole lot more than you, instead of talking shit, you should try to learn something

nice box!
Are those shiva's and audiobahns, and is that an alterator?
close, the Dayton DVC's, very close to the shiva, some old audiobahns, $90 a piecs, 20 mm xmax, sound godawful, but move some air, and orion xtr pro's on the floor. That is a vital alternator, 140 amps at idle, 200 at 2400 rpm, it's mean

that was a pic when I was in between systems

Well, I got a reply from Adire after asking for a box design for 2 tumults looking for ultimate LFE......straight from the horse's mouth here, below 30......

"Thanks for the e-mail! I'd for maximum extension, I'd look at 8 cubic feet

(after driver, port, and bracing displacement), and tune to 14.5 Hz with a

30 square inch port that is 40 inches long. This should be fine for up to

800W per driver (it's a big box, so you don't need much power).

Thanks again,

Adire Tech Support"

The electrical socket is better than standard connects. It uses high grade, high gauge copper, designed for 120v, 1800 watt applications. Regular connects use thin unknown metal and have cheap screw downs, that cross-thread easily. Hook-up has never been easier, just plug in and go.
Yes. You are soooooooo smart. Cheap single conductor Romex is much better than OFC cable. Rated for 120V. Wow. How many amps is it rated for? Oh, 12A. Let's see... 12A through a 1 ohm load is 144W. That is where you exceed the rated current capacity of that excellent wire that you have there. Fire Marshal Bill is looking for you...

Fact is, that Cerwin Vega box, was a thousand dollar waste of money, with the same vent I'm using, yet your so proud of Cerwin Vega and don't even own it. Same vent you're using? Did you cut that one vent up into 10 pieces? Hey if one is good, 10 must be better right?

That CV is a woofer. What is the upper crossover frequency on it? I'm guessing somewhere between 200-500 Hz. That's woofer territory. You've moved into the directional portion of the audio spectrum and out of sub woofer territory.

You want pictures? Here! The amps alone cost almost 3 times as much as your Tumults. The Subs are fresh back from a recone and I have 3 more of them not in the picture.

I giggled like a schoolgirl when I saw those old HCCAs
They just don't make 'em like that anymore. The 2100 looks as good as the day it was made. The 225s have one tiny ding each in rather unnoticable spots. Really remarkable considering the truck I last had them installed in (several years ago, I've been out of the stereo scene for awhile) rolled 3 times and was totaled. The 2100 ripped loose from its mounting and went through the cones of two of the W6s. I have just now (7 years later) gotten around to getting them reconed and I finally have a car that I cna put a system in. The install will be starting shortly. Stay tuned for updates.
