Tweets to go with Ascendant Audio Poly Mids

Meh, I think I'll stick with the Rainbows. The Vifas and the Seas might be nice budget tweets, but the CAL25s are supposed to be some of the best tweets out there, regardless of price from what I hear.

check out the Seas 27TBFC/G. not only a budget tweet, a great tweet. large format tweet. great off axis and nice sparkly top end. as i said, check out the review on the diyma website.

Are they better than CAL25's??? I'm about to send Paypal for a set now. The deal won't last long, so i don't want to lose out by pondering too long.

dam these diy speakers. i have no clue about the numbers. umm i guess i haven't heard those myself but the seas tweeters are nice. but again they are large format so i dunno. never heard the cal25's before so i can't do a comparison there. i dunno up to you man.

Large format doesn't matter, as I'm mounting them in place of a 4" speaker, so I have to make an adapter plate anyway. I guess I'm leaning more towards the Rainbows because I've heard so much good stuff about them.

the cal25 are decent tweets but i wouldn't put them above the seas neo....

also i don't really like the xt tweet... it just didn't sound good to me.

Well, I already bought the CAL 25s. I'm sure they will be more than adequate. The CAL27s ranked a few spaces highr in the review that was linked earlier. I know that the CAL27s are def. a better tweet than the CAL25, but I think I made the right choice. Just out of curiousity, where can I find the Neos and for how much. I might pick up a set for my next project depending on what comes out between now and then.

See, those aren't the same model as the ones in the review. At least the model number isn't quite the same. IDK about the neos. I can't seem to find two sets that have the same model number to get reviews or compare to other tweets. Plus I got the Rainbows with a warranty for $100 shipped. For the small difference in price once the shipping is factored in, I think I'd rather go with the set than can be replaced for free if I have a problem.

I already did. That review has been linked in this thread before, and the model #s for those seas tweets and the ones on Madisound don't match. As I said, it doesn't much matter now, because I already bought the Rainbows. My next project probably won't be for at least a year.
