Tweets on fire WTF?

I re-installed everything today becuase newbox and put in a new sub. And I turned it on and my tweets started smoking bad. We checked almost everything we could think of. Any ideas??
Was the volume set inordinately high or did the tweets just start smoking as soon as the system was turned on?

And "checked almost everything we could think of" says to me that there's something that crossed your mind that didn't get checked....what might that have been?

We checked the wires they were at 4ohms as they should be. They were only getting 75 watts.

They worked perfectly before I unistalled everything. And they started smoking as soon as I turned it on, volume was at like 3/30.

We checked the power, ground, and the speaker wires. Both tweets did it.

Could the passive crossovers could of went on me and sent to low notes to the tweets? Any way to tell of bad xovers I looked at one and cosmetically it looked fine.

I believe the front input section on my JL took a shit on me. I hooked up a single seperate speaker and they started smoking, I hooked it up the rears and the rear inputs seem to be fine.
