Tweets off head unit?

I am about to pull the trigger on some Rainbow CMX 256 Kicks. I have a Premiere 880PRS HU and an Orion 4004 (50x4, 150x2-bridged). So far, have had no problem with the HU. I am debating whether or not to go active (2-way). If I understand correctly, in order to take full advantage of the time correction in the HU and still have freedom to place the tweet in a number of locations, I would really need to go active. Which scenario would you recommend?

1). Passive setup, run mids and tweets off bridged 4004 but keep tweet close to mid so auto time correction works properly.

2.) Active setup, run tweets off head unit, mids off bridged 4004. More freedom for tweet placement. Can the HU give the tweets the juice they need to sound good?

3). Active setup, run tweets off 2 channels of the 4004 (50x2) and the mids off the other 2 channels (50x2). Is 50 watts enough power to drive these mids?
