tweeters for my new set up(active)Help

No I have them mounted in the doors above the mid and slightly forward. There is an area there forward of the armrest I used. I really dont care much for aiming my tweets directly at the windshield and having the tweets 3 feet away from the mids...but that's just me! It doesn't look bad where they are at. It doesn't look factory because no OEM I know of puts 4" large format ring radiator tweets in their doors, but it looks nice IMO.

Gotcha, thanks. I just picked up a new car with a 3.5" factory dash location, so I just wanted to get you thoughts on response and reflections if you were using a tweeter there.

Trying to squeeze the piss out of a compact dome by crossing it down low isn't the greatest of ideas.

In your case, a large format can do that a lot better and here's a great performer for the money:

Dayton RS28A4 ($49) - An Usher tweeter custom made for Parts Express. Ruler flat frequency response from 1 to 12kHz with a 5dB dip at 17kHz. Excellent CSD, Highish F3 HD below 2 kHz. Average HD above 2kHz. Nice build quality and metal faceplate. I tested 8 of these, and there was a consistency problem. Tested May 2005
