tweeter Xover/Freq Response Question

I bought a pair of MB Quart premium speakers and damaged the tweeters, so I had to buy new ones. I bought a pair of Infinity Kappa 10.7T tweeters to replace my damaged ones.

I notice now that the crossovers from the MB Quarts are at 2.5KHz and the infinity speakers Frequency response starts at 3.5KHz.

I have them hooked up and running now and they sound fine. Will I damage these tweeters by sending them the 2.5KHz-3.5KHz frequencies that they pparently cant handle?

They came with a crossover but i dont know whether or not I should hook it up seeing as how the MB quart Crossovers are already there....

if i were you, i would try the differnt crossover networks and go with the one that sounds better.

been running them from the quart crossovers for a few weeks now. They sound fine, so im guessing maybe its allright. nice sounding tweets, infinity kappa 10.7t tweeter set. Great price on ebay too. If you need a set of tweeters i recommend giving them a shot.
