Tweeter I can cross at 2khz?

Figured I'd try this in general to get more views.

I'm looking for a solid tweeter that I can use with a 24db/oct crossover at 2khz. I've thought about doing horns, but I really don't feel like messing with it and spending a lot of money to do so(even though I have the same truck that the guys used for the ID vids on youtube about horn installation).

Have you guys found a tweeter to meet my needs? I'm having a hard time finding good reviews for one to run that low.

I know of a few that can handle 2.5khz, but I'm really looking for something that can easily be ran at 2khz without a lot of distortion. I might just run a couple of 2" fullranges on each side and just run some 8's in my doors...that way I can just cross the 2"ers wherever I want in the 200-500hz range and just have the 8's play up to there.

I run my Daytons @ 2000 @ 18db slope and there loud as hell and play upto 20k no problem on 150ish rms for the pair. There 4" I believe. Pretty cheap aswell through parts express. Highly recomend them

if you are gonna run 8s in the doors just run some mids then tweets

The issue had always been, where will I put the mids, and what size can I run? Also, efficiency is a big deal, as I love to crank my music...since most midranges are in the mid/upper 80's with efficiency, I'd really need to run two per side.

I have actually been playing around with that idea, using a pair of 3" fullranges/midranges and a tweeter on each side. I can fit up to 3" speakers in my a-pillar/dash area. Here's something I mocked up to try out...it's a pair of the TB alum/mag cone fullranges and a Vifa tweeter. I was planning on running 200hz and 6.3khz crossovers for the 3-way setup...just gotta get some 8's.

there should be plenty of dome midranges with sensitivity of 90 or more that you can run, 2" and 3"http://www.parts-express.com/wizards/searchResults.cfm?srchExt=CAT&srchCat=299

why you need 8s though? there are alot of 6.5 that you could run, or get a pair in each door, usaully just easier to fit
I'm already running ID OEM's...really good midbass, better than the RS-180's I was using before. I just need more. I figured a single 8 would be easier to fit than a pair of 6.5's.

As far as dome midranges go, I really want to keep the entire vocal range with one set of speakers(which is why I'd trying this 3-way thing), so I'm wanting the midrange to be able to play 200-6.3khz, which most domes cannot com close to doing. The lowest I've seen one crossed is around 500hz, and that'd leave just too much of the lower vocals coming from my doors.

Yeah, I've check it out from time to time. There's still a ton of tweets that aren't covered. If you saw the "DFW High Noon" testing that went on with several tweeters, you might remember the xbl^2 tweet that Dan Wiggins has made and is waiting to OEM for someone. The guys doing the testing said it handled a 2khz and 1.6khz crossover just fine...but you can't get any unless some company decides to use them. They just lucked out and got some prototype...
