Samsung LED 47" in the bed-(bout to up grade to a 50" LED and move 47" to living room)

Emerson LED 32" in the Living Room

Yea i know our house is backwards. most places have the big tv in living room but we are never down there much so we have it upstaiirs. plus im good to play xbox360 on the 32", its kew on the 47" but as close as i sit to the tv i have to turn my head to see everything on the screen when playing modern MW3 lol.

if the price is right i will buy a plasma tho. i seen one at wal-mart here on display, its a 57" for like $400 off display. i went back to get it a day later and they sold it... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

led lcd is the way to go new resolutions are supposed to be coming out soon i believe it will be around 4k instead of 1080
The lighting doesnt need to be LED to support 4k resolution. And the problem with 4k is.. there is zero content for 4k, they already can make the displays but it is a waste of money right now.

4k is 4096 x 3072

current 1920x1080 so over double the res.

The new technology will be OLED (Organic light emitting diodes) which use even less electricity, are even smaller than regular LED, produce zero heat and offer the best color reproduction possible.

After that, they will start releasing TV's in 4k once 4k material starts to make its way out to the market.

Anyways, this is all **** they already have in Korea //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Whatever looks good to you, with a good refresh rate and contrast ratio. I rock a newer mitsubishi DLP 3D 60'' i got brand new 3 years ago for 700 shipped. 3 other friends got em as well. No one has had a bulb go out or anything yet. I have plasmas other than that one.

I assume we're not taking about TV (40"+) but monitors? I've never seen a IPS display larger than 24 or 27 inches and even those are like $500
if so, yes, samsung outsourced alot of their monitors.

But for their TV panels they make them all themselves and actually sell their screens to SONY and LG

Anyways, just wait until OLED is mass produced. Its end game stuff.. Samsung is releasing their Super AMOLED 55" TV this year.. although it will be around 12-15k
It's a 37''. It's all I need for my current place. Although I wouldn't mind having the 80 or 90'' Sharp TV.

I can't wait for AMOLED to come out. Like I said, by the time my LCD bulb gets too dim those TV's will be reasonable in price and I should be making more money. We just need Cable/Satellite and Xbox/PS3 to output 120hz or 240hz content and support higher resolutions. It ticks me off that the 360 is in 720p native and has to upscale to 1080 if selected. That's why I feel 60hz and 720p is all I need especially for a TV under 40''s

Depends on what you're really usin the tv for. Ive found video gaming or watching sports on a LED is difficult because the tv cant keep up like a plasma. However LEDS are better looking while watching movies and such.

Brand wise. I have a 50" insignia plasma. Basically insignia is the Isuzu of tvs. They use other other tvs and put their name on it and come standard with a two year warranty instead of one year as most manufacturers. My particular tv is a rebranded Samsung. That was $300 less and double the warranty. Last football season I got it for right at $600.

Walmart had a deal last week (and still may be available) for a 46" Panasonic plasma for $384.

As I man, I took alot of joy in purchasing my first big flat screen tv. And i beleive i made the correct decision given it does what i want it to do. When I was checking out, the guy at best buy said "credit or debit or check". I replied "straight cash homey"

i agree with the oled a few are out now but unless the price comes down on that tech it will be a no go. Cnet had a review on the samsung es9500 super oled $8700.

Just for tv. I don't play video games.
And 10-4. Just browsing atm, will check before commiting.
The extended warranty isn't a bad deal. But consider this, why is this tv a newer model and already refurb'd?

Same thought went through my head. But hey, 4 year warranty. Could be a good starter lcd for me. Though it might save me some headaches buying a bit better quality unit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
