back on topic, im a bit fond of the samsung dlp's buddy of mine has a couple of the 51 or 52" rear projection tv's you can pick up at best buy(1000.00 or 1200.00 ones) and we play a lot of games and watch many tv shows and have yet to notice any of the issue's youve mentioned thus far.

John, My personal fav is the HDTV LCD tvs. LG or Samsung.

I am not fond of the rear projection anything. You also will have more mantenience with them. The color wheel and bulb will need changing every 4 years or so. LCD and Plasma will not have that issue. If you watch a ton of sports center type shows with scrolling text at the bottom, the plasmas seem to have issues with buring into the screen. Similar to what happens to a computer monitor when left on one screen too long.

IMO, its a pain to mount an LCD, but the Samsung and LGs are above any other.

if you have the money, definatly go w/ the lcd or plasma, otherwise i'd say dlp. either option are good imo

i have a panasonic 42" plasma and its been great so far. i watch espn mostly and have not had any burn in problems at all.

and yeah it sucks. The new Samsung is out with the LED's. should be a big hit, I was supposed to go for training on it, but decided sky diving is better. hahaha.

DLP's have progressed quite a bit, the quality on them is pretty **** good. Nothing is going to live up, quite, to the quality of that plasma, and mounting is a ***** - why?

Fabricate a stand, buy one, or buy a wall mount, you dont have to cut a hole in the wall you know

If It's me, bigger the better but I like my quality
