hey my buddy has a pair of infinity references powered by a crunch amp which isnt that great. it says its max power is 1000 watts so im guessing it should be able to do at least 400 watts? LOL. anyway everytime he turns his volume past 23 (the head unit is a factory head unit from Honda) the RADIO fuse blows.. so my buddy goes to the fuse box where all the other car's fuses are and he has to find the Radio fuse and replace it. when he replaces it the head unit is able to power on again and everything works just fine.. unless he cranks the volume past 23. what does this indicate exactly? if his gains were too high, would it cause too high of a current demand, and blow the RADIO's fuse? is his head unit clipping at 23? if its because of clipping, should he turn his gain up so he doesnt have to bring the volume to 23? any info will be greatly appreciated as im heading over to his house after work to checc it out. thanks,.
