Turning 18, wanna buy a rifle

if you want to get ballsy , you can get a stripped lower reciever from RRA (rock river arms) and piece it together yourself. itll run much less than buying one complete and you can say that you built it yourself...just not sure how easy it is since ive never done it and dont know your gun building/molesting skills.

Where would I buy the upper parts to make it so cheap?

I could figure it out between my friend and my dad. It could get done lol

found a mosin nagant that i was thinking about for around 300.
Mosin for 300?! I thought those were just dirt cheap.. like $70-150 depending on wear and tear. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

some mosins are more rare that others, do some research before going that route... i bought a mosin about a month ago for $90 in above average shape. very neat guns and ammo is cheap, i havent had a chance to shoot mine, but they are suposed to be pretty accurate

An ar15 is about the easiest gun to put together. I know assembling and building are two different things, but its about as easy as putting together a knex set //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Thanks guys. But a gun isnt going to happen, unless someone wants to bid on this, and get my RF p1000-1bd.

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=113973597

If someone bought that and got it, and then shipped it to me I will trade my Mint p1000-1bd straight across. it could be a good deal for one of you. since brand new ones are still like over 300 on ebay. and mine is more under rated then most because i get a full 1316wrms @ 1 ohm stable.

And you can probably get the gun for sub 200.

any interest pm me. and you can wait till november 10th to ship me the gun, so its not a felony.

Sorry OP, I didn't read your post correctly. I suggest an RPK if you want a good range gun. It is a big improvement over a regular AK-47. It has a longer, heavy barrel, heavy duty receiver, bi pod and it is a blast to shoot. It can get hard to hold it up since the barrel is long, but it's quite fun. I could post some pics or you could search for RPK on gunbroker. I paid $500 for mine. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I love personal pictures //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

But thats not the rout i'm going. Parents say I gotta ask for something more practical from them.

So, I still have my mind set on a gun, so I am trying to now trade off my amp to get a good range gun. I think the one in my link would do nicely. What do you think?

I'm not really a fan of the SKS's or Norinco's for that matter. However they seem to be pretty good guns. I had a WSAR (I think that's how it's spelled) AK but I got rid of it for the RPK. I was much happier. I threw in a recoil buffer and a compensator on the end. I shoot that thing till my shoulder bruises. Not one jam, miss fire or anything after five 40 round mags.

Go to some local gun shops and look at prices on guns you're interested in. After shipping, and FFL fees and everything it might just be cheaper to buy one locally. Ive owned ak47's and ar15's and i strongly prefer and suggest the ar15. Check out the Saiga rifles. Better do it soon though, it looks like Obama has a real good shot at this...

Some crappy pics.
