Tuning with EQ

So Im installing the PPI E.DZ eq in my system. Usually we just use the ipod for music. Reading the manual it says turn up source unit to 3/4 of the way, but normally we turn the ipod up all the ways...

So should i tune with the ipod turned up all the way? or 3/4?

almost any device that transmits a signal will clip at the highest volumes. I would tune it at 3/4 if you can abesolutely.
