tuning street vs spl

so just picked up a solo x 18 i have a 01 2dr blazer finally came up with a box size and setup got 9.6 cubes but my concern is what to frequency to tune to spec for suv street is 10.0 at 35 , spl is 10.0 at 56 obviously double the sqaure inch on the port volume so my question is, this isnt a spl build cause its my daily and never done an spl build but still wana hit good numbers so can i split the diference in the tuning freq say 45 or so will the regular music tones suffer ,honestly never heard a tuned system so dont know what either 35 or 56 will sound like, also the wattage for 35freq is half of that at 56 ,will i really benefit from buying twice the wattage and running a higher freq

Good lord. 10 cubes?

If it's your daily setup, stick with 35hz. SPL boxes sound like *** on (most) music. And that 2x power handling is for burps at one frequency, not on music. You put double the power to a sub on music that's 20-25hz below tuning and you are just asking for trouble.

I also wouldn't recommend splitting the difference. 45hz is still too high for a daily and it would probably only be worth 1db anyway (if that).
