tuning flared ports

Im putting 2 x 4" flared ports in my box that im finishing today. When measuring the flared ports for cut is the length at the end of the flares for the start of the flares?

It's the correct method, honestly you could measure either way and wouldn't notice a difference...

So they're flared on both ends? Are they the "Precision Port" tubes?

Mine came with instructions ... basically took my port length (7"), subtracted 5" ... cut a piece of pipe 2" long, glued it together ... instructions said it would be 1" longer than your port length so I measured the final product and what would you know, it wound up being 8" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

yeah they are precision ports. didnt see instructions with mine. it also had some parts wrapped in newspaper and some not did yours come like that? wonder if i got a returned pair or something.

friggin things are way wider then I expected. I was gonna have rear shooting ports but I dont have the room with these monsters so they are gonna be top shooting ports now.
