tuning an AB vfl 4480.1

No not upset, i just dont accept comments from people who have no experience with equipment that they comment on.
If it was junk i wouldnt be using it as for others.

Also just so you know the AB ph4000 only does near 2000 watts and handles .5 ohms great, but the vfl 4480 also has been clamped between 2100-2200 watts and is .5 capable daily.

Want to prove me wrong? If you can i will certainly sell my 4480 and buy the ph4000md.

I have used both amps. And the ph4000 was clearly stronger then the 4480.1... I have first hand experience.. I'm not going off of he said she said bullcrap.. Sounds like u need to try some new amps if u think the 4480.1 is a nice 2k amp. Get a real 2k and u will be like wtf.

Just in case anyone's wondering. Internally they are 90% the same. PH has more mosfets. They arent brazilian layout boards nor are they korean overbuilt boards. Guessing good ol china

i bought a vfl 4480 to replace my mmats dhcx2200.1. nothing close to the mmats unless gain was cranked up alot which more than likely was clipping. swapped it out for a audio technix AT 1200.1 i picked up off ebay for $200 nib which was more comparable to the mmats i had... vfl has been boxed up after a month or so of use in hopes to recoupe some money back off it... the price/value of them have dropped ive noticed and i since just chalked it up as a loss.....

I just spent $700 on a md1000.2 and my $40 digital audio 1200 beats my 2 db drive 10's 2× harder . I wouldn't believe it if I wasn't there and had it installed by professional. leaving contacted Matts R&D Department and they couldn't give us a reason why the amps not blowing the 10's out of the tubes..crazy

i say you overpayed man. For 700 you could have gotten something that will sh*t on anything you could have imagined. CHeck with the forum before you waste money man because sounds like you payed for a junk 2 channel amp.

It a mmats pro audio amp....they r top notch amps and they make the Juggernaut subs ...they r beast...we call them and the r&d department couldn't give us answers... I got my money back..its just crazy because I've personally seen these amps blow speaker's apart

Possibly low end low rms subs.

No way that amp will blow even a kicker.
