Tuning amp

Hello,

I just got an orion 1200d amplifier to power my 2 alpine type r 12" subs. They are being run at 1 ohm. 600 RMS each. I need to find out how to tune the amp because I really dont wanna blow anything. I know there is the gain, low pass frequency, high pass frequency or something like that, and theres another knob thats intelli Q. The subs are in a ported enclosure at 36hz. Also, there are like 4 or 5 switches, should i just leave those off. One is at master I know that.

Set your gains accordingly. I have never had ANY experience with these amps, but if they have a subsonic filter, make sure your filter is set at or right above your tuning frequency of your box, so you don't 'overthrow' or give the subs too much extension, as this can be harmful to the subs. I like to leave my amp on LPF with the filter set at about 130Hz, no subsonic filter for me though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Gain is set accordingly, but it's just not enough power for my subs, so I am currently underpowering them.
