Yea, I think I tuned it too low. That is what it is now. If I modify it here is my idea.

If I cut the inner board to 11 inches it comes out to 36hz. thats 11x2x13 . sq port area =? I dont know

the subs do get low. I dont know what the freq cut off is.

It seems I may be getting unsatisfied with the bass.... Time for more?

I figure I should try to modify the box first.

If I could afford to, I would buy a new amp. That might help, but if the subs need different box then that should be first. I think.

Let me know you ideas please.

Nevermind. I will figure it out.

Just seeing what people think about a box tuned to 26. I wanted good low exstension but it doesnt hit as hard as I hoped. I play the low bass cd's like Bass305. and rap and metal. So I need a well rounded box. I am seriously considering a sealed box. 3 cubes.

I realize that now. I was drunk when I conceived the idea to go 26hz. I my first post I noted what I will be attempting before I choose a sealed enclosure.

tuning below 30hz is kinda silly in a car....before you drastically change to 35hz, try 33hz. Should put you right where you want to be.

also maybe try diff box sizes a 2cf box tuned at 35hz will sound total diff than 3cf tuned to 35hz as you will get a punchy sound with the smaller box as it prob peaks high db with the smaller box

I like my subs at 28hz right now. Really helps keep the midbass up front because the subs can't even play anything above 60hz(which works well for me).

Well, like a dumbass I am, I made a thread about calculating sq port area. I think I did that wrong too. came out to like 738
