Tune the TCAB!

he said something about 5.5 cubes between 32-33hz. All i heard was 5.5 cubes and 32-33hz from him. But i wanted to make sure. All these equations are giving me a headache, so i decided to see if you guys can help me.

well it sure isn't 5.5 cubes internal, and is about 6.1 external

pretty sure that psp.com takes the port into consiteration in the box. Not sure though...

anyone sure on this? If you need to take out the subs/bracing/port then you're looking at 4 cubes net @ 40hz

There is no bracing in the box. 40hz, thats pretty high, isn't it?

but i just wanted to know for myself what my own box is tuned to. Besides, if i plan on upgrading to a new setup, i can think about having a 40hz box or something lower. I wanted to get clarifcation on this and make sure my box is tuned correctly.

posting pics of the box would help some i guess... since there is no clue of what may take up an extra .2 or more. and if he used resin inside, depending on how much could reduce the boxs internal net (not a whole lot of course)

im getting 4.87 internal tuned to alittle over 36hz

I thought TCAB were supposed to get real low.

36hz doesnt strike me as being able to hit low notes,maybe worng though.

many people are giving different answers. I asked a local shop, and they told me 41. But he didn't even do any measuring. He just looked at it and said looks about a 41-42. I just walked out.
