I'm going to be building my very first sub floor cabinet myself. I had one before but never did the work so it's my turn to get more familiar at building. I'm going to build it in my '95 Monte Carlo and the subwoofer will be a single Soundstream SPL160. So, I have two different box sizes but I do not know which route to choose and also finding ports that are 4" x either 22" or 16" long. You'll see what I mean.
So here's the first box size.
Ported SPL160
3.0cf @ 27hz, Two 4"x22" ports. High output with low frequency extension. Good small enclosure.
Ported SPL160
4.0 @ 32hz, Three 4"x16" ports. High output with excellent low frequency extension. Great for rock music.
Those are the two box sizes Soundstream. Well lets get to know my Soundstream SPL160 a lot better so you can get an understanding.

Boy, I hope I did a good job with all the information I jotted down. My sub will arrive in the mail by next Thursday or Friday and I would like to get started on building the sub floor cabinet by next weekend. I appreciate all your expertise.
