Trying to understand electrical strain

So here is my question if you ran an amp at 1000 watts @ 2 ohms and then ran the same amp at 1000 watts @ 1 ohm (by turning the gain down so the amp put out the same 1000 watts) which will have more strain on the electrical system? If efficency was the same.

the amp is going to be more efficient @ 2 ohm..

truth Is if you strap 2 3500s @ 4ohm VS 1 3500 @ 1 ohm is going to be about 8 to 10% more efficient..
