trying to hit 15hz

I already knpow you cant hear below 20hz thats why i said subsonic lowz and i also know that most music cd's dont play below 30hz so your saying that anyone who is tuned lower than 30hz is stupid???i i like what i like and thats what i want so if you cant help me out then dont coment. there are people hittin 10 and 5hz i even heard rumers of some hittin 1hz.

Though contraty to what most think hitting 15hz can actually disperse energy into you molecules that make up your body. This microinvasion of energy can cause you to leap into the 10th demension(which is the existence of infinity everywhere)
Are you telling me Infinity car products exist only in the 10th dimension?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif ... **** EBAY scammers...selln' bootleg 10th dimension Infinity gear...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/pissed.gif.9f665f96bc89e98e708dabd4580bb591.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

haha, this thread is just getting even better...

why don't you just buy those rumble pack things they sell for HT that mount to your seats... they just vibrate at those low frequencies and give the same effect...

My subs hit 0hz.

(can't believe no one has pulled that one out yet)

Anyways...I think you are attempting to attribute some mystical audio gift to the ability to "hit" low frequencies. There's not. Play a 5hz tone with no subsonic filter and you should see your sub moving 5 cycles per second. There, you just accomplished your goal.

The problem here is that it becomes rather difficult to produce relatively high SPL levels into low frequencies. If you decrease frequency by 1 octave (say, from 30hz to 15hz) you need to increase your displacement by 4x in order to maintain a constant output level. Considering this is essentially never going to occur at such low frequencies when driving the equipment hard, you are already limited by the ability of the equipment.

Beyond that, at very low frequencies most equipment (headunits, amplifiers, etc) already are experiencing some inherent roll-off in their frequency response. This is going to further decrease the output of those low frequencies.

So; It's not hard to "hit" those low frequencies....any system should be able to physically cause the subwoofer to move 5 cycles per second. The problem is achieving any real output levels @ those frequencies. Cabin gain can be your friend here, however. If your car has good cabin gain it could be adding enough to counter-act the roll-off of the enclosure....at which point you're again only limited by your ability to displace enough air and any roll-off in the equipment itself.

IASCA has a track on it's disc that drops to 18hz.....if your vehicle is reproducing the track accurately, you should be able to feel the rumble........

ask for help and all you get is bad vibes. everyone has something funny to say but i bet most of them aint got nothing more than a pepboys or bestbuy system with a sub thats in a pre fab box....

anyway do anyone here hit lower than 20hz now and if so can you help me out please?

i know what ya mean dude it's rough, most of the time people on here will flame if it's not something they would like, so you gotta do what you like sometimes. as far as hittin the lows, gotta be a huge box, if its ported tune it really low, and both ways are gunna kill performance in in the higher frequencies, subs just aren't designed to hit that low, any sub will probably play 15 hz, the main thing is that its just not gunna be loud unless your sub is big enough, and has enough excursion capabilty to actually move alot of air at only 15 cycles a second, theoretically, most subs will be more than twice as loud at 30 htz than at 15... and it gets worse as you go down

yeah i understand that. i really dont care to much about getting loud as long as am below 20hz am good with that. . i was thinking about a death box what do you think. are death boxex good for getting real low? i know there are tricks in the way boxes are built so what kind of box would you build? thanks for the info...
