To be honest, I really wouldn't mind that at all and I have considered it. But there is my trunk space to be concerned about. I'm a college student that travels back and forth from school and home frequently and my trunk is already owned by my single 10" ported box.

Another one facing it from the opposite side of the trunk would completely negate all usability of the trunk.

You wouldnt want to build a box and put it directly across from it you would encounter some cancelation i would believe. Have you tried changing the orintation of your box? Aim it back? Or up?

Two of these will only need about 1.3-1.4 cft. ported (same as, or less than most single decent 12's).

And yes, two with 300w each are 3dbs louder than one with 600w... 3dbs doesn't seem like a lot, but it will sound twice as loud in the car.

FWIW, I like the idea of upgrading to the pdx 1.1000 later, though.
