trying to fix alpine headunit

My friend gave me his headunit for free because last week it just stopped working on him and i wanted to see if i could fix it. it doesnt turn on but i did get sparks from wires so i guess its getting power. and also when i touch the ground from the headunit to steel i hear a sound from the door speakers, just a light sound when i touch it, like the sound u get when u first plug in speakers. does anybody know what the problem might be or where i could get sum help, pictures would be perfect, installation pictures, i might not be matching up the wires right so some pictures on that would work. any help at all would be appreciated, thanks

might be something fux0red internally but easy to fix... i think alpine of America had a single tax for fix... i think it's worth

i love alpine hus... just curious to know, which hu is this?
