I'm trying to find a new woofer setup and I want the best of both worlds... SQ and when I grab the gain knob and twist I want it to hammer... 2002 Chevy ex cab with no rear seat amps I have are 2 JL1000/1's I can use one or both with the new setup any advise from those who have done this before

not looking for a brand pref... I need more input on woofer size and amount and box design... I've been looking at doing 6 8" woofers or 4 10"s or 3 12"s ported most likely

3 12's would be the best bet..... if you have the space....

otherwise just do a pair of 10's port them and they should be plenty loud...

it's not like the cab of a truck is incredibly big...

it should be easy to get loud off of 2kw.

I like the three 12's idea too I can get 10 cubes pretty easy I think space isn't a issue but it would be hard to get 3 12's on 2 amps

I'm back and forth and I even confuse myself on this situation but I just need some opinions

sounds to me like youd prefer a couple hundred bucks in your pocket over the bass you really crave?

i have 1 x 12w7 ($250 used) on an orion 2500d ($400 used) in a mini van, has sick sq and when i lean on the volume it gets sick.

u only need 1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/graduate.gif.d982460be9f153bb54e5d4cb744f6ae8.gif

No need to bypass the amp. Most use an LOC that takes the full amped signal and turns it into a flat RCA level signal. Here is the newest I have...
