Trying to figure out what is better

Hey all I'm currently running two Memphis PR154 15" subs in a somewhat small sealed enclosure. I had to switch from my 6.5 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz down to this because my new car has little room to work with. They're 4 ohm SVC subs and seeing about 300 watts each (rated at 250). They're pretty loud (I have a hatchback now), but I am wondering if I could get more out of what I'm working with?

I am considering selling both 15's to a friend and upgrading to a single subwoofer and putting it in a ported enclosure. Haven't decided on size of woofer so I'm open to anything 10-15". I will likely use the same amplifier so I'd have a little over 600 watts @ 2 ohms to work with.

Basically, am I going to get more out of a single subwoofer in a ported enclosure, seeing twice the power than I am if I stick with the two base model 15's in a small sealed enclosure?

If anyone has recommendations on subs, I'd appreciate it as well. May just move up in the Memphis line as I'm extremely impressed with the quality and durability of their subs.

I wouldn't think so either, but honestly I feel that it might be - and it might have significantly better sound quality.... the Memphis 15's are loud.... but as I said are base model PR154's and are in a very small sealed enclosure. They sounded effing amazing in the 6.5 cubic foot box they used to be in though. I'm just picturing a very good 10" sub in a few cubic foot ported enclosure tuned to between 30-35 hz being extremely loud. I may be wrong but that is precisely why I'm asking this question here. Anyone with similar experiences they could share or even just opinions would be great.

Thanks.

if you dont go with more power a single 10" sub isnt gonna be louder at all IMO. on 600 watts you will be hard pressed to get louder than the 2 15's you have as long as the box is correct. those pr subs will take alot more as well, and they are very efficient. have you thought of doing 1 of them in a proper size ported box? with about 400 watts rms to it?
