hello everyone i have been using this site a few others for a long time i don't post much just read and learn and troll basically lol...anyways i have just picked some new equipment for my car....

i just purchased 2 12's pioneer ts308d4 subwoofers and they are my old sealed box my old BA's where in. My plan is to build a ported enclosure for my new pioneer's but i have a few questions i was hoping someone can help me with so i can get exactly what i want

I have built a lot of sealed and ported boxes before but i have never done nothing special just a single slot port in the middle yadayada... i want to make this box unlike any i have made before some of the specs for my subs are

400rms

4ohm

fs- 34.5

qts- .62

mms- 2.426

pioneer specs for sealed .85-1.25

ported - 1.25 - 2.05 3" of port area

i have a 01 dodge neon with the whole trunk to work with, space is not an issue i just want the box to work well with the subs because i have built big huge ported boxes thinking I'm gonna get this amazing sound outta it just to find out my subs cant handle it and they bottom out/blow up, i don't really understand how to tune boxes and i would like to tune this one to about 30-35hz these subs are great for lows and that is what I am looking for

i also do not know if I should do subs up ports back i know everyone has they preferences, i was just wondering if any has an experience with a coupe type car and i dont know they mean by ports back...does that mean ports pushing air into the cabin or towards the trunk?

just any box building tips anyone wants to throw in here please do it would be very helpful!!

o also i am running a fusion pp-am20001 amp with these subs.... at 1ohm@14.4v the amp puts out about 1175rms i believe, so the subs are probably getting a little more than 400 but they have been taking it fine it seems

any help please!? i just dont know how i should do the ported box i dont understand how having each sub in a separate chamber with a separate port or one port and they also DVC which i did not mention in my previous thread....i just want the lows and it to be tuned to 34 because the fs is 34 is that a good idea? i just dont know any input would really help and i would really appreciate it...

right now i have the subs in a really big sealed box its about 1.75 each chamber maybe more im not sure i dont remember the measurements but they sound amazing and slam the lows but i feel like the box is too big or something because i smell the coils if i turn it up like i it maybe cuz they are brand new which i dont bang em all day because people always say o o that speakers needs to be broken in like this or has to be free air...honestly i do not know the correct way or if there is way but, i just want to get the most i can get outta these because i total bass head and my system is real clean setup i have 1/0 kicker hyper flex but i have stock bat and alt and with these new subs my lights are dimming bad bad im guessing because i went from running my amp at 4ohms to now running at 1 ohm?

Also i already have my sheet of mdf and everything i need to build one and i have built about 5 boxes i want to make this nice but all i have is a circular saw and a roto zip and a drill...i want to do like flared port and fiberglass it but i just need some help and you guys know your stuff soooo please help me !

yeah i know.... I just got off work and really want to get started and i have to be up in 5 hours for court....so hopefully there will be something when I get back!

there are 3 designs for dual 12s ported.

3.2 cubic foot and two 4.0 cubic foot. either should work so long as u can build them. they have 45s in the corners i believe which if u havent done might be hard

check out these, find a box that works. like X series, the 15" sub box is 3.2 cubic foot, wide enough to fit two 12s, has enough port area, no 45s in the corners, easy to build
