Trying to build a system...

So I've been reading these boards off and on...and I'm in the process of building a system to go along side with my CarPC. I've already purchased a set of Focal 165K2P Components for the front, and I'm probably not going to have any speakers in the rear.

Could anyone make a suggestion on possible combinations of subs and amps. I'm considering running 1 or 2 Focal 27KXs subs. Or possibly the Flatline D2.

well how much money are you willing to throw at this? I sat get thos 27kxs easily the sexiest sub ive ever had the pleasure of playing with.

Maybe $1,500...anymore is really pushing it. As far as amps, I have no idea how I can purchase good amps and these subs for that price range...

the only place i see you finding those subs on forums is over on elitecaraudio.com they seem to have alot of high end equipment over there.....just a quick warning about forum buying make sure you do some research on the seller before you send them any money

as for amps you can get pretty good deals on PG Xenon stuff now 100.2 and 600.1 would run it all nice and there are a couple of those for sale in the classifieds one of which from a seller ill vouch for.....you can look at Alpine PDX amps supposed to be pretty nice and are stackable....you can check out Eclipse's amps ...if you wanted to stay with focal you can search for some Audison amps....and the list continues there is alot of stuff you have to choose from

Actually Focal makes their own amps now, and they will be availiable in then next few months. Audison is just a good fit for the speaker, and they are from the same distributor, but there is no other affiliation between the two companies. Focal is a french manufacturer, and Audison is Italian.

It's going into a 2003 Mazda6, sedan.

The trunk space is massive:

I'm more than likely going to have my whole trunk fiberglassed for show and moving amp racks using linear actuators. In terms of the subs, I'm leaning towards the Flatline's at this point.
