truck won't turn on

so i upgraded my alt to 270amp, big 3 and loved it for about an hour. then while driving and bumpin' i lost power to everything, no lights, no radio, nothing...and the wire from the battery to the starter relay was burnt, when i tried to reconnect it..just sparks.???wtf?

Check that wire closely man. It sounds like it is grounding out somewhere......Maybe it has a nick in it and is rubbing metal somewhere.

just wire it up anyway...thats why they make fuses

or check for grounding and eveything is properly wired up

was my starter solenoide fried to the firewall...no big deal..
