Truck wont start

Ok I've had a 1986 dodge Ram 50 that has just been sitting. I charged the battery and now it's sitting at 14V, which is odd. So I try starting it up. It wont even turn on, the lights wont even turn on. nothing (electrical) will work.

Check the ground and the fuese under the hood.

ok well I just think its the battery, that can't handle the load. because the truck just sat and it's drained a couple times so I think I just need a new battery.

if its saying you have 14v then it might not be the batt. i agree on the fuses and wires from batt. after that you will have to check the alt. and starter.

Yea I checked it all out this weekend. I had to clean the terminals, new positive terminal (corrosion cut throuth the other one) and tighten the battery ground. so yea!
