I am looking to put some subs in my truck, no extended cab and i was wondering what people would recommend for a box and sub combo this would go behind the seats.

this one, perfect mounting depth. Ok now all joking aside, I too have a single cab truck, and it can get challenging sometimes. if you want good SPL you either want to look at maybe one good 10 ported or for more of an SQ approach with some decent SPL look at 2 12s. I personally am going for 2 12's. Basically you just need to find a sub with a mounting depth of 6.5 and stay under that. Im going to be using RL-p's from soundsplinter they are 6.79 and i find that, that is the absolute max that i can fit. By the way I have an 04 silverado.

i have a nissan xe hardbody '93

currently i have a nakamichi pa 150 amp and a crappy mtx 10' sub(forget exactly what it is) , it sounds ok but i want more, i thiink i can fit a 12 back there. Any more info would be much appreciated

pioneer has 12's just for that. in a truck unless you are a volume master 1 12 sealed is plenty. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/article/0,,2076_4057_104401920,00.html if you like more bass jast add another. 6.5" with a massive grill in a built to box (box is part of the cab) was the most i could get in a reg cab s-10. if i crank up my atlas with 300-400 ish watts it punches you in the back pretty hard almost over bearing for me and its sealed.

you can build a single 12 enclosure (sealed) but you will have to place the subwoofer as far down as possible. Then the box will have to utilize the entire area behind the seat. It is possible but it requires a lot of thinking and magic.

I have nissan truck '94 XE and being the addicted to bass type of guy that i am; decided to go with 2 12w6v2's via blow-through. pictures in my gallery! which i have to update.

yeah i saw that, its pretty sweet, i was wondering how you bridged between truck bed and the interior of the cab. Like isnt there space between the bed and the cab

the middle is bridged by what is called same side accordion boot. (available at your local camper dealer/shop)

the boot needs to be sealed really good in order to prevent the elements from coming in in to the cabin. you help seal the boot by adding RTV (Silicone) both in the middle of the boot and al around when installing it on the cut out.

When doing this; dont be afraid to put as much silicone as possible, in fact the more the better.
