Can you spray some tuner cleaner on the gain control? Hopefully that will clear up your problem.

Assuming your serious, I don't have any. I have fully investigated it and have no doubts is bad. I even tried to put tape over it to "hold it in place with pressure kinda thing." No luck or good. I'ma get an RF 1000a2 tomorrow to wake these Pios up! When dinkin with the amp, I could get it to put out. These tens sound good when they have powa goin to 'um.

I was serious. The way you described the problem sounded like a dirty potentiometer. If you need tuner cleaner some day, Radio Shack should have some. Now it sounds like you have something that is loose. In any case I hope you get it going good and are able to dial it in so we all can hear from you what your impressions of shallow mount subs are.

It's a liquid silicon-based spray. It is to electronics what weasel piss (WD-40) is to mechanical objects. Everyone should have some...LOL!

This stuff has been getting sprayed on dirty pots for decades. It works if that's your problem.
