no off roading..im just going for a different look..ive always been doing the 24-26'' rims with rubber band tires..this time i want the huge tire look but still have some rim..i havent bought the tire yet because it would be stupid to buy the tire and no rim..kind of like buying audio equipment and still dont know what kind of car your going to buy..lol thats why i thought i would ask some of the guys here since they have always helped me in the past when a serious question was asked..thanx for all the suggestions guys..it has made my job easier now that i can look for a 12'' wide rim instead of the 14...again thank you.

i was guessing that is your truck in your ava, and i was also guessing that your 15" wheels arent chrome and made for show...

they are probably stamped steel and were made knowing that someone was going to put some big, tall, wide tires on them.

unlike a set of 24"s that are made to look pretty and shiny and probably wont have anything wider than a 385 on them.

They're weld racing rims (aluminum), 36" super swampers, lol i wont even lie the only time that thing ever touches mud is when someone needs to be pulled out.

excuse my ignorance when i ask this..lol but if the tire is 14'' wide..wouldnt a 12'' rim be too much of a gap?

Because if you have a 14" wide tire on a 14" wide wheel it's alot easier to pop the bead if you hit a bump, hit a curb, or go 4 wheeling, etc.. If you drive like a granny then a equal size tire may not be so bad on a equal size rim. I myself wouldn't trust it though. I have my 38x14x16" TSL's on a 12" rim. As Hoss said a 10.5" would work too. Make sure you get the right backspacing also or your gonna be SOL.

yeah, the 38 threw me off, i thought maybe he meant a 385.

its not just offroad tires, its just going from a metric to a standard tire (which is pretty much common only on oversized tires).

i hope this is for an H1 and not an H2 or H3... could be kind of bad *** on an H1.

Yw, askem to static balancem, if they don't balance right check to see if they have or can order "Equal", it's a tire balancer that goes inside the tire usually used on bigger tires.

You are going to need a hell of a lift, and dont expect not to break an axle with those monster tires.
