remote need to be reprogrammed HELP

I have a viper 690xv alarm and i need to reset it to standard configuration, here`s the problem, I was trying toset the remote up for learn/routine and I set the ARM button first,now all it will do is stay armed when I put the key in with the door open so that I can try to set the other buttons to disarm and remote start anybody got any I deals of how to reset remote to standard configuration?

so your looking to do a master reset on the alarm? or the remote? i havent had to ever do it so i dont know. start with unplugging the alarm for about 5 min.

on the alarm first, so 5-minutes will do and I`ll let you know if it works

I`m trying to reset the alarm and remote to the Standard Configuration Mode" right now all I can do is arm the alarm nothing else will work except the alarm will go off and cannot start car unless alarm is unplug

not sure if it will let me ,but anyway I`ll give it a try just how do you do it my instruction does not say anything about it, I have try the valet switch to reset it to standard config and the alarm will go off everytime I put the key in with door to program with valet switch according to the instructiojns,and will it is going off it will not let me do anything else but re-arm it, it like it is stuck on stupid.

can you key on then hit the valet ounce then hold? Does it chirp if it does then hit the Arm button or channel one. If it then chirps the autoconfigure is complete. If not try step 7 in the frist menu.

yeah do that i was trying to find one of the manuals i have laying around. if that doesnt work where did you get the alarm installed at? you might take it back to them and have em check it out.

Thanks guys for all the help,I just pitched the "brain".....I could not get it out of "ARM ONLY" mode.
