Get Your Face *****
I recently sold my 15" kicker l7 in a 4.5 cube box. I bought a new truck (02 ranger ext cab edge) and i need an opinion. Not on what type of sub, but how many.
I have 1 10" type r sitting in my house waiting to be installed. I have a hifonics bx1605d amp installed in my truck. Completley stock electrical w/ 0 guage wiring. Big 3 is going to be done asap. I was thinking of getting another 10" type r and building/having someone here build a box that goes all the way across my ext cab for about a 4-6 cu foot box. Would I be better off with 2, 3, or 4 type r's??? If i get 2/3 i will use only 1 of my amps, but if i get 4 type r's i will get another 1605d.
Basically I want to know, what would be better, to have more airspace, or more cone area??? I have searched around a lot and I can't find what I'm looking for. They type r's are only 100 bux a pop, so the cost has no factor. I know 4 type r's with 2 of the 1605's will wang hard and sound good, but would it be better just to have airspace??????
