Troubleshooting crossfire vr-404

Ok today (5-24-2014) I bought another crossfire vr 404 very cheap cuz guy said it played but went into protect mode after u turn off car and start again so I took a chance I payed him he jetted off I opened it noting smells burnt nor looks burnt I also noticed he had 40a fuses when that amp is marked for 20a don't know if that is a factor but what I did notice is when I opened the amp I see the wires coming off where the fuses are one wire looks a lil melted and if that's the case can I just change that wire???

Can someone please help me I got it pretty cheap and took a chance cuz I have a vr404 in my truck already and figured "hey y not have 2" so let me know if I did a good deal or not please help me trouble shoot it

He says when it's in protect mode if u turn it upside down it goes green again??? Plz help thanks.....

Lol, I saw the same ad, glad I didn't pull the trigger. Maybe a loose ground wire?

Lol I hoped on it and he delivered but sh-it I hope I get it fixed cuz my other one is gona be gone soon so this would replace it
